I've set up some menubars on my web page which work by showing and concealing absolutely positioned DIV blocks. The problem I'm having with this is that some of my pages contain form elements (text boxes, drop down lists, etc) and these always end up in front of the menu blocks when they appear. I've tried setting the z-order of the menu blocks to a high value (900 or so), and I can't adjust the z-order of the controls, since they are statically positioned. So basically...

help!

Thanks,
Jonathan

What browsers are you supporting? I know in IE(5?/5.5) an iframe can be placed over a select box. Just about anything you would want with a div you can do with an IFRAME. Another option is scriptlets...A less elegant approach, is to hide all your select elements when a div is moved. In IE, a div can pass over any element except a select box. If you're worried about NS4, give up. jaredn@eae.net -
