Hi guys..

A few days ago there was a post about how to do zoom navigation similiar to I threw together something in a hurry that showed the guy how to do it, uploaded it and went about my business.. I got to thinking there has got to be a way to dynamically add sections without much hassle..

I have tinkered with this on and off for a few days now and what I've coem up with is a pretty robust script. Before reading on you can download the fla and swf here..

The way I did it allows you to add sections simply by typing their name in the variables layer on the first frame..
i.e.
mc_a="Main section 1";
mc_a01="Main section 1, subsection 1";
mc_a02="Main section 1, subsection 2";
mc_a0201="Main section 1, subsection 1, sub-subsection 1";

The script that I wrote will automatically tile subsections in the corresponding places (keeping a triangle in the bottom right as best it can), makes every other one bright so they stand out and adds the titles in.

This script allows for 4 main headings, 10 subsections and 10 sub-subsections, for a grand total of 400 blocks (i figured that would be enough for any application)...

So anyways, hopefully the new guys can learn from this and maybe even the established guys can learn a thing or two from this.. Oh yea.. And if anyone from relevare.com reads this, please dont punch me in the face. :)

Enjoy fellas.
