It could be one of their files hanging up the shutdown of Windows. Have you tried to load the Windows 98 Shutdown Patch? You can auto install it off the Windows Update or download the file from here<along with all the other necessary Windows update files>:

If you do a Ctrl/Alt/Del to get Task Manager just before it hangs...what's running? Anything say not responding?

Uncheck the option in ZA's Alert tab to record a log file,
then disable the entry(if it's there)via Msconfig/Startup.
It records a log file of attempts to intrude via your Ports.
Who cares? Not much you can do about this anyway.
Dunno' if it will make a difference, but you can disable the mail-safe capability of ZA IF you have a decent AV proggie. (doubtful that will help the hanging)

Another thing to add to that...Start/Run/msconfig and under the Advanced options, check the box to Disable fast shutdown.

Do you break Internet connection and close down everything before shutting down? (no offense meant, just asking, I know lots of ppl that don't) If not: irony of it is, it may have been in the middle of turning away packets: either from online gaming (checking to see if you're online, too) or from ICQ or one of the chat trips.

I'm a fan of ZA, but I'm first to admit there are others that are free...I've run Tiny myself. But ya' gotta' have something....and if I can't make it run right, it's gotta go!

thanx's guy's will give them a try will try anything once
