Has anyone had the opportunity to use zfs? I installed OpenSolaris which has zfs included as in the base os and have had just an hour of trying it.

It is so easy to create filesystems now. 'zfs create test/fs' and you are done. That is after you create the pool. But no more 'newfs', 'mkdir' 'mount' edit vfstab, etc. Just a couple of commands, and zfs manages mount/unmounts so no more editing vfstab.

Just wondering what others experiences are with it and if anyone has worked with it longer and your impressions and anything you ran into that needs fixing, etc.

Also, has anyone heard what Solaris 10 update is going to have zfs included?

Personally, I don't trust over automated systems administation tools which do not allow me to see what's going on.
Makes things too much more complicated to fix when they eventually break.
Just my opinion. YMMV.
