XY Scatter Graph and Trend Lines

I am trying to find out if trend lines are possible using the XY Scatter graphing format.

I first just combined two graphs by underlaying one and making the other with a transparent background. This worked perfectly to combine just the trend line from a linear form of a graph and the XY scatter form of the same graph. The problem here is, now when I export(not by choice), only the overlayed graph appears.

In the Crystal help, it does include the scatter in the possible formats that have the trend line capability...it just doesn't explain how for the XY. Since I need to be able to export properly, I will have to rely on the capabilities of just the one XY scatter graph. So, that is why I need to find out if it's really possible and how it was accomplished.

Never mind... This was a case where the Crystal "Chart Help" stated that trend lines could be generated using XY scatter graphs, but ultimately it was a "typo" that version 9 supposedly doesn't have in it's help documentation.

So...No, you can't create a trend line using an XY scatter graph in CR Version 9.0 or earlier (This came from Crystal support finally!)

Hope this helps someone skip over the many hours to get to this point.
