Xtra Registration

Hi, I have a strange but really urgent cry for help, hopefully someone can help me.
I've written a Director application for a project at uni and built it around a free open source xtra that I found. (dsXtra) The problem is that the xtra works fine when authoring but when you create a projector it doens't work. A bit of digging revealed the reason. The xtra has been built to only work with the demo application it came with. (Tactile12000) It's still O.S. and free to use but I found a little line on their website saying "it's fine to use our xtra with any app you develop but you will have to modify it and re-compile it without the app check so that it works."
Anyway I downloaded the xtra sdk and looked throgh all the files and I have no idea what i'm looking at! I don't know c++ at all.

Any posts to guide me in the directon of doing it myself would be much appreciated.

In order to help you we would need to see the source of the SDK. Could you please post the link to the Xtra's website? Either myself or someone else should be able to help you then.

Thanks fugigoose for your offer, I managed to get hold of the person that wrote the xtra in the end and he's kindly provided me with an unsecure version.
