where does the quarkXpress "Document" preferences reside?,

some files don't print on a epsonStylus printer but if the contents of that file is pasted into a file which prints.

then that file also prints which means i guess its something to do with the document preferences?!?

Please help

Hi gopimenon,

Well There is no Document specific Preference file in QuarkXPress. There is just one XPress Preference file which you can locate by navigating to QuarkXPress Folder. You can delete/move that Xpress Preference file and when you launch QuarkXPress again, a new XPress Preference file will be created automatically. I would suggest you to create a backup of your existing XPress Preference file or move it to some other location and then launch QuarkXPress.

Well what i think is that the problem is not with the XPress Preferences file as this file applies to the whole Application. What i suggest is that you check the contents of your document which is not printing. See that the images you've used are not corrupted and also check for damaged fonts in your documents and also check for damaged XTensions. You need to isolate QuarkXPress to check which image or font or XTension is creating the problem. You can disable/enable the fonts one by one in the fonts folder to check which font is corrupted. You need to follow the same procedure with the images and XTensions. Isolate them to check which one is the culprit.

Hope this helps.
