XP VPN client cannot authenticate into webpage hosted on W2k Server

Would this be an XP or W2K server issue? I have an employee who is trying to access a timesheet website we have while VPN'd into our network. His drive mappings for our network seem fine but when he attempts to obtain our timesheet website, which is set for NT authentication, it still prompts him with a login. He has this site in his Trusted Sites in IE as well. Anyone have any ideas?
