I work for an isp I am trying to change domains in our local office network. I have changed the ip addresses, subnet masks, and gateways for computers concerned. I configured the pdc and set it up to control the new domain but ran into a problem. When joining computers to this new domain I find I am able to join the domain yet cannot log on to it. I get an error message saying

"THE COMPUTER CANNOT LOG YOU ON AT THIS TIME BECAUSE THE DOMAIN <DOMAIN NAME> IS NOT AVAILABLE."

If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate your help.

Make sure that you've got a dynamic DNS forward lookup zone for the domain you're serving, and that the client machine is pointing to it. Marc Creviere
