Within an hour after I launch my office XP machine, the cursor begins to stutter. I checked the Task Manager Performance and found the processor cycles up and down between 40% and 100%. I've found that if I log off and log back on, the problem goes away for awhile, and then returns. My XP is up to date with Service Pack 2 and all MS updates.

Does anyone have similar experience and did you discover a solution to this problem?

Which process is actually using all the CPU cycles?

By "stutter" do you mean a mix of normal cursor and hourglass?
