I just installed XP Pro on my work desktop. I like the new look and feel, but I'm not crazy about the new start menu. I don't want the classic start menu look, but I would like to remove the left pane of the two-pane view the start menu brings up. Any ideas?

Right click on the task bar (where your current running programs are displayed) and choose properties from the list. When you get the properties box open click on the start menu tab and select the clasic start menu radio button then apply...or the customize button and apply what ever you choose...it's that simple.

Sorry, but the left side of that menu view is the way it is.. You can clean it up and remove all the programs from it, but the pane itself will stay..
