Xp sp2 constanlty shutting down!

Hi all, this is for Bigbadben and all the others who helped me out over a year ago and I forgot to get back to them, the link below is from the original thread.

It was a CPU issue and I took the plunge and removed the heatsink and reapplied the thermal paste for the heat-sink and everything has been ok since!

I knew I had to do something as at that time I wanted to upgrade to windows 7 but the way the computer was constantly crashing I feared a new install of Win 7 might crash the computer because of the heavy processor usage for an install and leave me with no operating system and unable to reinstall Xp for the same reason unless I did a clean install on another partition which at that time win 7 claimed you had to do an upgrade!

Anyway, cheers guys, sorry I forgot to get to you on this!
