XP Pro Updates issue

I have windows XP Pro with out service pack 2. I keep getting an option to install 2 updates for IE when i boot up in the morning, but it wants XP service pack 2 to be installed.

If you go to windows updates, custom, there is a checkbox for each update that you can check so MS no longer bothers you about the update.
