Hey all,

I've got a WinXP Pro system, with SP2, which has one niggling problem. When I startup, it takes around 5 minutes after Windows has finishing loading for the wireless networking to kick in. Now, I've just finished rebuilding the damnable thing, and it had XP SP 2 on it before, and it booted fine, instant network access. But this is just bizarre.

Any ideas?

Win XP Pro SP2
AMD XP 2200+

10Gb + 40Gb HDD
NEC 2510A DVD-RW
Samsung 40x CDRW
BT 1060 Wireless G PCI Card (connecting to a BT 2100 wireless router)

Thanks,

Scotsdude

My laptop does exactly the same with my BT 2100 router, it started after i installed SP2. No doubt it will go back to normal once i rebuild it. Reinstalling the drivers didn't work.

wahid,

it takes 5 minutes for my networking to kick in. 5 minutes of absolutely nothing. Its not as if it's slow starting up - I can access everything else, games apps and docs, but not the network. For 5 minutes. Then it kicks in and all is fine.
