I have a question that a friend of mine is struggling over; he has consulted MS's site to no avail.
The problem:

Does anyone know the REAL correct syntax for XP's reg (add in paticular). I've been to 500 sites, and all there syntax is different, and all hasn't worked (as of yet).

Thank you in advance for any info...

Surely such a thing would be a major security downfall! or even considered hacking. I can see such a thing huge problems in the world, so it may not exist.
Think about it some weird hacker decideds he will write something that cuts out the firewall for norton then he can hack away.
Although im sure it is dooable im sure it would be a security risk

The way web design should be

It's it similar to an .ini file structure?? I tried exporting a couple of registry values into a .reg file and then viewed the file in a text editor. It looked like this:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Console\__STS0000001_netlogon_smsls.bat]
"HistoryNoDup"=dword:00000000
"ScreenBufferSize"=dword:00010001
"WindowPosition"=dword:02e003fc
"WindowSize"=dword:00010001

I dunno if that helps or not, maybe you could specify exactly what you're looking for, and why you need it.

Thanks for your reply, but TniX was referring to several PC's that he already has remote access to (Dameware); he is attempting to stop multipe sessions from remaining open on client PC's (about 900 of them), which causes data to be lost. The data then has to be recovered and reentered, which is time consuming and inefficiant. Looking for Registry tips, especially from MS is always suspect.
I'll ask TriX if he can elaborate and repost his request (and even obtain his own account :)
Thanks!
Tim
