Hi,
System: Dell Precison Workstation 350 with ATI Fire GL E1 Video Accelerator - 64MB, latest ( not very recent) Drivers.

When I run DxDiag ( DirectX 9) it indicates that the Memory is n/a and The DirectX test for 3d fails due to lack of memory as does any attempt to install the Microsoft Plus screensavers..( "Requires a Video Card with at least 16MB" is the message)

Why can't the DirectX stuff see the memory when the OS can?

Can you swaap in another video card? This will tell you if the problem is your system. or the card.

You need to update the drivers...

unfortunately, this has to be done over Dell...

Current version should be 8.xxx...
