I am trying to get some ideas as it seems to be a XP permissions problem. If I copy the database folder so it is now setup as c:\Temp\Database and then open ACT it works fine. However, if I open the email, which opens up a separate window and process, the new mail option is greyed out and the box will not closed without killing the process. I ended up sharing the folder and it seems to work!! I was logged in as my own name but in the admin group. I removed my name from the users group.
If I delete the DB and copy folder back to the temp file, the email will not work again until I share the folder again.
Can someone enlighten me?
