Hi. Going to adding an Windowx XP pro laptop to a Windows 2000 domain. Is it as simply as using the Network Id Wizard in XP and putting the domain name and admin password in?
Thanks

I would just right click on My Computer->Properties... Then click the second tab in (network ID) and then putting the domain name in there... When you hit OK it will ask for the domain username/password.

But yes, either way should work.

Using the Classic menues:

Open the Control Panel>System>Computer Name and be sure the laptop has a valid name. Next, click the Change button and click the Member of ( )Domain button, type in your domain name. A window will open to ask for the name and password for someone that has the right to do this. ie: Administrator, HisPassword

Wait a few seconds, OK.

Restart.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. Will give it ago tomorrow.
Thanks again
