When I launch Word XP,you get a box that says Preparing
to Install and it takes little bit of time for Word to come up.
Any idea why and how to fix that? is also the same message for Frontpage,Powerpoint, and Excel...I Dont have multiple versions of Office on the computer.

Thanks

Likely when Office was installed, some componants were set up to run from the CD or off the network. Try going to your add/remove programs, selecting office, then modifying your installation to include all parts of office.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for that but have tried Uninstalling office..then re-install using the options..RUN ALL FROM COMPUTER....RUN FROM COMPUTER....INTALL FIRST TIME....and still the same...is only a few seconds the message comes up, but annoying just the same.

Try putting in your installation CD. Choose Exit if it autoruns.
Now open word. This should pull off any missing info off the CD that's making the "Preparing to Install" window appear.
