Does anyone know anything about XP Media Center Edition? I have a client that purchased this PC and wants me to set up the VPN and TS connection back to the main office. He is on East coast, I am on West coast. I can't find anything on MS's website saying wether or not XP MCE even has the features. I know XP Home does not have all the networking features, I am wondering is XP MCE is similar or not. Thanks in advance.

A computer running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 delivers the full power and functionality of Windows XP. Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 is a superset of Windows XP Professional.
So, YES, you can use Remote Desktop FROM the XP MCE PC.

Xemus,

My own reading of your link was that control of multi-media devices was only possible at the console, and not through a remote connection.

marcs41 point about the remote desktop client being part of the feature set of XP -- and therefore the multimedia edition -- is true.

Which makes sense as the client portion is freeely available for donwload for nearly all Windows versions. See:
But remote control of multi-media devices is not possible.

Xemus, see you own link:
Question 3.

j93saturn's question was NOT to Remote Desktop TO the XP MCE but if XP MCE could Remote Desktop to the main office.
