Hi:
Windows 2000 Server, Svcpk 4. Internal LAN is 192.168.x.x. DHCP is controlled by the windows 2000 server.
I am unable to add an XP machine to the domain. From a fresh install of Windows XP Pro, fully service packed, I right mouse click on "My Computer" and select properties. Click the tap for "computer name" and select the radio button for "domain" (taking it out of a workgroup). Type in the name of the domain, and click OK. I'm given the login and password prompt for an account authorized to add the machine to the domain. I enter "administrator" as the login and put the administrator password.
It hourglasses for about 3 minutes, then it errors out saying it can't add the machine, or find the domain, etc. Last time I just left the machine on and it fixed itself when the WINS database populated. This time, it won't work no matter what I do.
Any thoughts?
Thanks...
