I have XP home (SP1) on a Athlon 1.1, ECS K7VZA MoBo (Via chipset with latest drivers) and 1gb RAM. I've just got a Pioneer DVD-R model R105 to back up my DVD collection and during the burn phase (latest version of Nero) the machine mysteriously restarts - no blue screen, no app crash just a restart. The restart varies between about 20% of the way thru the burn and 95% - any ideas would be gratefully accepted.

Hi,

maybe the temperature of CPu gets on higher values ? I'd that sometimes with my PC as well, but it was in suspend mode or sometimes in online (I-Net). I can't find another problem, but PC reboots without warnings.

Thanks - I checked the temp after the last crash and it was well within the limits. Had a bright idea yesterday and booted up in safe mode - ran disc burner with no problems at all so I guess it's a device conflict. What's the best way to troubleshoot this - remove all devices and put them back one at a time or is there a quicker way?
