There are 2 limited accounts on this computer but no ADMIN account. I can't make any changes, install programs, remove malware, etc. has anyone heard of an ADMIN account just disappearing like that?

I know this forum is for xp pro but there isn't one for xp home and I usually dwell in the telecom side anyway.

So when you log on in safe mode, Administrator doesn't appear on the welcome screen? (you know you can only log on Administrator in safe mode in XP Home?)

If it doesn't, does hitting ctrl+alt+del twice bring up an old style logon box - where you can try typing Administrator (no password)?
