XP graphics slow.

I recently upgraded from ME to XP and have noticed a difference in the speed of the pinball game. It is not as robust as before. I thought that maybe it needed to be set to 256 colors but that option does not exist since it is a part of XP. Maybe need new drivers?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

How much RAM have you got? Here are a couple of links you can check out to see if they make any difference.

Try disabling any unrequired services that are running in background.

Have you checked Microsoft for all updates? Check you are using latest XP drivers for your system. Check for any Bios update.

When you get the chance to do a clean install of XP rather than the upgrade, do it.
