I've got 6 workstations I am trying to join to the network. All but one seem to have joined ok. The one I cant join correctly is the workstation that I took a ghost image from to image the other 5 workstations. I had to disjoin then rejoin the domain which has seemed to work fine, I can even see mapped drives under my profile. However the normal "company user only logon warning" that pops up after hitting the 3 finger salute to logon shows a totally different saying. Its a workgroup splash screen not our domain user's one.

In the event viewer I get the id 1053 source userenv. I have checked over microsoft's website and still cant find a solution.

Thanks

Just a guess, but the most likely thing that comes to mind is that you have duplicate SIDs between the problem machine and one of the others (corrected by GhostWalking or SID changing utilty), or you did not remove the source machine from the domain before imaging.

Duplicate SIDs will not bar a Domain join. It is a security principle at risk, not a join.

In any case, 1053 with source Userenv is DNS related and not SID related as an error.

When the computer was joined to the domain it was created in a different OU than the rest of the computers in that area. Once I moved the computer to the correct OU all issues were solved.

Thanks everyone for your help.
