XP clients on an NT4 domain

Has anybody come across any problems with putting windows XP clients on an NT4 domain. I am having problems saving data as it takes up to ten mins at a time to save work, however pulling the data from the server is very fast.

I am sure that it is an XP to NT issue as all the NT4 workstations are fine and do not have this problem.

I have tried everything, any advice would be welcomed.

Cause: Win2k uses Large File support while Windows NT 4.0 use Large File Read support only, but not Large File Write support.
