Xp Blue Screen when clicking my computer

We have a few computers that will blue screen whenever the user clicks on "my computer" icon or opens windows explorer and attempts to open the "c" drive. Usually running a checkdisk or creating a new profile would fix the problem, however we have one user who still blue screens after taking these steps. Initially after we recreated his profile the error stopped, but this only last a couple of days. Has anyone had this happen? Any suggestions on fixes?
