Hi,

I recently bought a used pc with XP on it.
Now I'm getting the following error when I start the pc:

"lsass.exe system error - the endpoint format is invalid"

and theres no way to get into windows..I can't even reboot or powerdown withour unplugging the machine!

What I'd like to do is get rid of XP and put in windows 2000 or something in its place. But how can I do this if I can't even boot?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

when pc is doing some DOS stuff then depending on your pc type press DEL ESC or somthin like that.
Go to advance options or boot options or wotever
Put Floppy first, then CD-ROM then IDE-0 (i thnik its ide)

Boot with a Win98 disk, or boot with your planned Win2k CD. In the first case use fdisk to remove the existing partition and create a new one. Install Win2k. In the latter case overwrite the XP partition.
