Has anyone ran accross an issue where a db will crash when an XP user and a 2k user (Office Versions) log into a db either at the same time or not? Everytime they crash I have to re-compile the code and compress the db. I can move around the db with no problems, but as soon as a 2k user logs in, it crashes. This is a sudden occurence as the db's have been in production for a few years and were written in 2k. They still have the 2k file format and have not been converted to XP.
My fix last week was to upgrade everyone that used a particular db to XP and that has solved the issue. However, our IS department are hesitant to upgrade the entire company without knowing what the cause is. I searched MSKB without any luck. Thanks In Advance...David
