xp administrative question

We have a couple of applications that we use which only seem to run if the user has administrative rights. Anyone else run into this?
 
there are certain apps that do this yes.

Sometimes because of registry changes being required, etc.. I would look to see if it's a registry reason as to why it needs admin rights. If so, maybe grant limited users full control over the registry entry it needs to be able to change.
