XL2000 Status Bar 1

I have a user that has FIX in the far right (last) box on the status bar. (i.e., CAPS NUM SCRL (blank) FIX)

Does anyone know what FIX is? How can I turn it off?

Tools, Options, Edit tab; uncheck Fixed decimal places
