Hi Guys,

Does anyone use Xitami as the server with PHP ?. I've used it for years with no problems it's nice and light. I upgraded a few weeks ago, and it translates the . in file names into 2e when displayed in the browser, which looks odd but is ok with html files but not with PHP.
Has anyone come accros this and know how to fix it ?
I can supply versions etc when I get home if this is important.

Regards

Kevin

Sleipnir,

Thanks for that, I know about that one. What happens is I type, for example, I get a message back saying the page can not be found and the URL is changed into What I suspect is happening is PHP is not decoding that name correctly and so can't find it. My thoughts are it is the way that xitami is passing the URL. If I use a normal flat file of html that displays ok but the URL is changed to give 2E, so I think it is Xitami fouling up. Does that make sense ???

Your probabbly correct on that !, Xitami doesn't have a forum here I was just hoping someone might have seen the problem.....
I could use apache but to be honest I can do without the hastle of going through training, config and maintenance etc

You know I'd love to meet you
