Hi

Problems with an 8200. Have changed bulbs as per instructions - originals had blown (brilliant - thanks!) Put all back together and paper jammed (I think this is due to paper size selector in paper tray - long story but both holes have been blocked with tape - have seen on here now that should only be one covered - the original plastic bit had broken...)

problem is that now when I start up it displays error 16.001.43:18560 and stops - flashing red

I can get into diagnostics mode and it looks like the TCP heater is not able to start (blown?) but am not entirely sure what the TCP heater is...

The bulbs were just 'store bought' (in the UK - 120V 150W) and no longer light up (they did when first fitted - erratically - but I seem to remember the originals did too) I have read that store bought is ok to use but am concerned that this might not be the case and that 'something else' electrical has suffered because of these bulbs

Anyone shed some light? :) Many thanks in advance for any help

Did you install the preheater power connector? Thats what the error is saying. Recheck the connector.

I don't believe it! If we haven't taken apart and put this printer back together a dozen times then I'm a peanut butter and jam (jelly) sandwich

I just put it all back together in one final attempt to clear this error and... it works! well kind of...

We are pretty much back to square one :( the 16.001.43:8560 error has gone and the bulbs are now lighting up again but we are still getting a paper jam. We have corrected the tape covering the A4 and Letter selector holes in the paper tray - covered one then the other hole but the paper still gets jammed going through the rollers before the heater

have tried the manual feed and getting the same thing

I suppose I should really start a new post on this but it looks like the motor (magnet?) on the shaft (left hand side) of this roller is not engaging when it should be and so the paper is getting pushed into the rollers and they are not turning so it gets 'stuck'

As a workaround I just took the magnet/motor off and taped the plastic white cog to the shaft so the shaft is turning with the cog (both/any which ways!) but still the paper gets stuck an inch or so into the rollers just as entering the preheater plates... :( can anyone help?
