XCopy getting Application failed to initialize (0xc0000005)

On a newly setup PC with Windows XP, every once in a while when doing an XCopy via a batch file, I get, "Application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005.)"


I then have to reboot the machine and everything then works fine for a while before the error comes up again.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Is this a standalone machine or a Networked machine?

(0x00000005) I feel is nearly always an access denied type of error, your problem is finding out what is causing the denied access.
