When using the XBK command to back up an Option 11C remotley using ProComm what do you save the file as? I tried .doc but that didn't save right.
Thanks

I know that Procom will save as a .cap when you use the capture a file icon but what I am doing is using the receive file icon in order to save the backup configuration to my computer using the XBK command.

Make sure you are using Xmodem for your data transfer protocol. The Procomm default is Zmodem.

The file will be saved as a .xbk file.
AS stated above you need to make sure that Procomm is configured as Xmodem otherwise it will not work.

1. Set terminal to “Xmodem”
2. Logon to Option 11C PABX
3. Goto LD 143
4. Type “XBK” then <enter>
5. You will be prompted with “info:”
6. Type in relevant information here – suggest the date and the site name?
7. Press <enter> after the “info:” details has been entered
8. You will be prompted with a “R” (for receive)
9. In Procomm use “Data” header to choose “receive file….”
10. Then type in file name etc to save to C: drive accordingly
11. Wait till save takes place
12. Exit out of load and PABX

As Hasago stated, it will be saved as a .xbk file, but you shouldn't have to add the extension to the file name.
