you can create the group and then choose custom address....in the email type, put in X500. you WILL see an error in the event log but you can ignore it. i had this issue when i exmerged emailboxes from an exchange 5.5 server and imported them into an Ex2K3 box. I couldnt reply to emails from within the domain prior to the exmerge and its an issue of X500 addressing.
