Right here's another newbie question

Two default entries in the root crontab after a Solaris 9 installation.
The commands I have no problem with, /usr/sbin/rtc & /usr/lib/gss/gsscred_clean
Both have a [ -x ] version then && and the normal command.
What's with the [-x ] bit?
Is it the same as using set -x in a shell script?

Apologies if this really is out of the dumb question draw, I have looked on the net and found nothing.

Regards

Steve

Can I give myself a star? ;-)

Of course it's a test parameter, and -x is the "if executable"

Now if only I had waited a little longer before posting, I could have saved myself the embarassment!
Oh well.

Hope this helps someone else, sometime
