X Axis Labels

When doing a graph and there both positive and negative values on the graph and the axis cross at zero, the x axis labels automatically run along the middle of the graph. I want to move the labels down out of the middle of the graph but not change where the axis crosses. Is there a way to keep the axis crossing at zero but move the labels down below the plot area? For example, if the values correspond with the months of the year, I want the month labels along the bottom of the plot area.
 
Not sure I fully picture what you have, but take a look at Rob Bovey's free XY labeler addin. Don't be put off by the XY title as it does more than XY graphs, and it may well do what you need.

Either way to be honest it's a real neat little tool to have:-

Format Axis, and for the chosen option in the "Tick Mark Labels" choices click "Low".
