A few weeks ago I posted a question in here if anyone knew of a Quark Xtension that would allow me to see my fonts in the pull down font menu as they actually appear. No one came up with anything.
Today I found something called "youcontrol:fonts" by you software ( that does exactly that. And it not only works with Quark (6.0 and later) but also works all Adobe CS programs, Freehand, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and some others.
When it is installed it adds the word "Font" to your O/SX menu bar at the top of the screen. So whatever program you are using, when you need to select a font, instead of using the program's pulldown font menu, you use this new one added by "youcontrol:fonts" and voila!!! there are all your fonts just as they actually look. You can also set the program to show the fonts in whatever size you want.
The program costs $29.95 and it is exactly what I was looking for. I thought I would pass this on in case anyone else is interested.
