WWW Publishing Servic Stopping and Starting frequently.

We have W2K SP2 and IIS5 no hot fixes. The

http://WWW publishing

service is stopping and then immediately restarting with no events being logged in event viewer. In IIS Administrator the ADMIN WEB service changes to stopped then back to started with a screen refresh. The WEB server is not in a production environment at this time, so it is not due to external traffic load.
Has anyone seen this symptom or have a fix?

The first thing I would try is updating it with the lastest fixes (not to mention the code red worm). If the problem persists.. ask again.
