Hi People,

I have a WSUS server which I setup a few months ago now but ever since I set it up I've had a problem. That is that the computers are detected in there but WSUS has not got a status report. The error is as follows

This computer has not reported status yet

This is really frustrating as I have checked the group policy and the settings are there. I have done a gpresult and the policy is being applied. The desktops are running XP SP2 with the firewall disabled.

Also have tried

Has anybody had the same problem and if so how did they overcome it?

Thanks in advance

Dan

I don't understand why the automatic updates service is not starting? Can anybody shed any light?

Thanks

Danny

Have you checked your standard manual setting of Automatic Updates? Settings > Control Panel > Automatic Updates....make sure it is not disabled.

Hope this Helps.

Automatic updates are configured in group policy for the machines. Therefore I cannot change the settings in windows but automatic updates is switched on but obviously greyed out.

Did you happen to unistall SUS from this server after you installed WSUS? service pack 1 is out for WSUS i would install it, see if that cures the problem.
