On a WS-C2948G-L3 does it use DC current or AC current?

Thanks

So how does one connect and power on the DC version?

Assuming you don't have a DC supply locally where the switch is, you can use an AC-DC inverter which can be sourced from anywhere (just google DC AC inverter)

Can you please point me out to a link where I can see exactly what I need?

Thank You
