In my Access 97 database i have a link to a dBase III file, which is updated from an other applcation. One of the fields in the dbase file is defined as Numeric 14, decimal 3
When i examine the data from within Access, all the numerical data is converted wrong: the decimal seperator and the thousands-seperator are mis-interpreted. So in dBase is says: 1.455,300
in Access it becomes: 1,455
I'v tried changing the International setting in the Windows configuration screen, but that didnt help.
The application is running with a client of ours, and it has worked in the past. According to the client the only difference is he installed Win2000. But the problem can be reproduced on my own NT-machine and on a Win98 machine.
Has anybody a clue what this is all about? I'm thinking about MDAC versions (we use 2.5), but i cant test older ones over here.
thanks
