Something is wrong with my system here. I have a workstation, when log on domain controller at the DHCP, I check for Address Leases, it shows that the IP for that workstation is 192.168.1.129

But from that workstation I do ipconfig /all on it, it show its IP is 192.168.1.9

What is wrong here? How do I make that Address leases from 192.168.1.129 to 192.168.1.9? Please help

But when I ping 192.168.1.9 then it show the name of that workstation, but if I ping 192.168.1.129 then I got time out. Or if I do Tracert 192.168.1.9 then it shows the name of that workstation, but Tracert for 192.168.1.129 then I got error.

How come it display on my Address Leases as 192.168.1.129?

Yes, I deleted the lease 192.168.1.129, but then when I refresh the Address leases, It comes back.

The wierd thing is that on my workstation I ipconfig /all I got IP 192.168.1.9

But on the Server Machine I check the Address Leases, it shows 192.168.1.129

What is wrong here? Ho wod I correct this from the server machine? I want to assign 192.168.1.9 to the workstation

On the workstation try
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

well, I did that and it came out the IP I expected to be 192.168.1.9, but how come on my server when I lok in DHCP/ Address Leases, it show the IP is 192.168.1.129??

When I do ipconfig /release
it shows this:
Windows 2000 IP COnfiguration
Error: No adapters bound to TCP/IP are enabled to DHCP

So is your workstation set up for dhcp or does it have a manual ip assigned (192.168.1.9 perhaps).
Right click on My Network Places and select properties --> Right click on Local area connection and select properties --> Select Internet Protocol and click on properties button. Verify that Obtain ip address automatically and obtain dns server automatically are selected (if you want to use DHCP).

I want this workstation to have an assigned IP, not DHCP automatically. That's why I type in the IP 192.168.1.9, DNS, Gateway...everything is correct

But don't know why it still show on the server machine that workstation has 192.168.1.129

The funny thing is that when I boot my workstation in SafeMode with Networking, everything working well. This is wierd

What do you mean everything is working well . . what's your workstation ip address and DHCP assigned ip address now?

Why don't you checked DHCP reservation, maybe 129 was reserved for your workstation.;)
