Happy New Year

I have two issues, I hoping that y'all might be able to help me with.

I'm running SQL 2000.

One of my logins always list one particular Host no matter what machine it is logged in from. I deleted and recreated the login several times, but it still does the same thing. And its not even the Host machine that I create the login from, its a totally different machine. But always the same one.

Also a different login will list the wrong database when logged in. I happens to be a test database that is listed, so I took that database offline, and logged in to the production DB again. Now I cant even see that login listed under Process Info. I also tried deleting and recreating with no luck.

Thanks in advance

On the first one, with the 'incorrect' host...could that user be logging in via a domain controller or some other intermediate host? I have users that log in straight to the database and I get their actual host name. I also have users that when they log in, a domain controller is authenticating them so I get the domain controller as the host.

The host that is showing up is a win2k pro workstation.

The front end program for the database uses the login name of the user to connect(which will display the correct host). Once they connect to the DB, the program switches to the schema owner login to do updates or queries etc..., that's the login with the wrong host displayed.

Also, we have several different sites out here, all of them use a different BDC to connect. I noticed today that other sites connecting with that logon, will display the correct host.
