I have a block of script I want to attach to an instance. How do I write my script with out using the scripts on the side. Right now Flash only allows me to select in text blocks and I am not able to write anything. How do I change this? Beckym

In the Action boxes (Frame & Object), there's a top right arrow menu. Click it and select Expert mode, you will then be able to type (or copy & paste) any script in the right side of these windows.
When finished, you can switch back to Normal mode... If you have syntax errors, Flash won't let you do it, so you'll be in fact warned that you have errors!

click on the little black arrow at the top right of the action panel and select "expert"

This will allow you to type in the action script as you like rather than having to select the actions at the left. However, You must be very very careful to input the correct syntax. Ya' Gotta Love It!
