Writing to event viewer

Is it possible for my vb program to log if ever an error occurred on my program to the event viewer of Windows?
Thanks in advance!
 
Oh, I dunno. The LogEvent method of Microsoft's NTSVC.OCX is pretty good (a sttep up from the built-in event log functions in Vb)
 
Yes, you are right. However, reading the article gives a better understanding of the possibilities and caveats. And, as far as I remember, MS does not support and distributes the ocx anymore.

 
I'm not sure that the original poster needs anything complex. In fact, upon reflection, they would probably be happy with VB's App.LogEvent method
 
Well it's always good to have a choice. And others may benefit from the information supplied.
