Where do I get started on writing software for Mobiles

I konw my Ericsson T610 support two "kinds" of mobile games/apps

Where can I start to learn more about this subject. For instance, my bank has a "app" that you can download/send to your phone, that adds an extra menu for the cellphone banking???
