I just set a up a terminal server for some remote users who log on to our application server to use a client/server accounting program, Sage Timberline, which uses Pervasive.SQL/ODBC database access. Some modules of this program require write access to a few registry keys under HKET_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software. Now, my local users use XP Pro workstations, and I just log on as the local admin, and use regedit select the proper key and go to Edit -> Permissions and add the domain user account to full control. Now, the terminal server is a full AD server, and has no local accounts and no local security option under Administrative tools, and also no Permissions under the Edit menu in regedit, and I am at a loss as to how to do this without adding these users to a group that has full access to the entire registry. HELP!
