Working with Reports

I would like to make a report setup like a letterhead... However, I'm putting all my address information on the left-hand side... The problem comes to be if the report has more information than what is allotted...

ie: I have a line on the left hand part of the form with a length of 7"... The detail of the report is longer, making the Salutation block of the letter longer than 7"... Is there a way to lock the length of the line to equal the size of the page or the detail?

I'm not sure what you're saying. Do you mean you have a line control extending down the left hand side, and it grows as long as the detail section? I can't reproduce that behavior. And what do you mean by the "Salutation block"? Are you using a multiline text box, with embedded CRs in your text? If so, try setting "Can Grow" to No for the salutation block text box. That should prevent it from growing vertically.
